Student Services Division Goals

During Summer Quarter 2025, Dr. Jamilyn Penn, then Vice President for Student Services (VPSS), charged the Student Services Affairs Cabinet (SSAC) with developing division goals and high‑level strategies aligned with the College Goals and the collective work of Student Services departments. In response, SSAC leadership conducted a comprehensive analysis of all Student Services Institutional Effectiveness (IE) Plans and Reflections. This review, grounded in the College’s strategic plan, informed the development of the Student Services Goals outlined below.

Highline College Strategic Goal 1: Access

Overview: Student Services advances access by increasing college readiness, strengthening outreach and recruitment, and providing students with the financial and navigational support needed to enroll and succeed. In partnership with departments across campus, the division centers on inclusive policies and practices that remove barriers and promote academic achievement for all students.
